Mezzegra Green Energy, an energy company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the municipality of Pirapora do Bom Jesus (SP) and the city’s Commercial, Industrial and Tourism Association (ACIT). Under the agreement, a hydrogen plant project will be developed in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The plant will have some stages, and initially will consist of a 2 MW electrolyzer that will be powered by solar energy to produce green hydrogen (H2V). In terms of investment, the project should cost around 5 to 10 million Euros, considering the entire installation, plus a unit for the depollution of the waters of the Tietê River. Finally, in terms of end use, the gas will be used to decarbonise the industrial sector.
